Let's Mix Those Prints
Hi Ladies! Are you into mixing prints like I am? If you are, but not really sure about the "how-to" part, then here is the post for you. In a previous blog, I shared that I would be giving more tips on style instead of my suggestions on where to purchase the items of the looks I style. However, I will get back to doing that, I just wanted to change it up a little bit. So, let's get to it.
Mixing it Up
I want to make sure to keep this simple. Honestly, because I'm a mom and simple style is my go-to now. I pride myself on being able to get ready including makeup within 35-45 minutes. When it comes to mixing prints, "Be Different." I like to be quirky with my style and that is how I came to love mixing prints.
Classic and Simple Mixing
A good print to start with is Leopard. Leopard is a pattern that will go easily with Stripes. However, I would keep the Leopard as a print to wear at the bottom just to start off. Another good print to wear with Stripes is Polka Dots. Stripes and Polka Dots always put me in a flirty mood and I love to wear pants, shorts, and skirts in that pattern. I am also big on making one print be the bold print and I like to play off of that one.
Bold and Beautiful
Now I am all for being bold ladies. I like to stand out, so whether it is a dress, skirt, blouse, a pair of pants, or shoes, I always style around that piece. A simple way of mixing bold prints is to make sure to have one common color in each print. Below is simple skirt and blouse from Banana Republic that I purchased. They were two totally different prints, but with one common color.
These are just a few simple ways to start mixing your prints. So, let's get to mixing ladies!
With these options, I hope that you were able to get some style inspiration and tips.
Always remember, Simplicity makes a Statement.
