Smiles and Playful Styles
Hiya! I am back again for a 3rd time. It's said that the 3rd time is a charm, so let me test this out!
Before I get into my Florals..Stripes..and Brights Summer Looks, I gotta tell you why I left. I just can't slide back into your life like nothing has happened, right?
I started this blog in 2017 and I was very blessed to get opportunities right from the start. I found myself writing to keep up and I was not enjoying it. It got difficult for me to manage after a while because my life became busy with work and raising my 6-year-old. I found that I was always trying to reinvent myself with every post and realized I was not being true to who I am. Blogging can be difficult when your creative juices aren't flowing and adding that with Anxiety and Stress equaled to a massive writer's block for me. If you ever feel like you are advertising yourself for a like and/or comment then I would suggest removing yourself from social media. You should stop and refocus to grasp an understanding of why you are really doing this. Let me tell you, it can be hard to maintain a blog and live your life if you are not focused and centered.
I had to figure out what was missing in my life. I took time off from blogging and focused on my faith and relationship with God, found a Therapist, created my Vision Board, and started Manifesting my Desires. I surround myself with positive people with positive energy and I've been keeping my Happy!
It has been a year almost to the date of my last post. I wanted to show you some my summer must haves, they are cute floral dresses, stripes, and bright colors. Also, pairing your fits with fun shoes wouldn't hurt at all.
Below are one of my many floral dresses. It was gifted to me by my mom, so I don't have the details on where to purchase it.
"Floral? For Spring? Groundbreaking." Lol, not sure if that is the best quote because I'm wearing floral. I just really wanted to say my favorite quote from my go-to pep me up movie, The Devil Wears Prada. For Spring and Summer floral is always a staple pattern to have in your closet. I paired this dress with these colorful Betsey Johnson shoes.
"Knock, knock..who's there? Orange? Orange who? Orange you glad I didn't say Banana? One of the colors for Summer is Orange and I'm fine with that. My skirt and shoes are from Target and I picked up this tank from Gordmans. It's simple, but the pop of color makes it stand out.
Co-ord Sets are the cutest for Summer. Plus, they are an easy look to put together. I like bold things and this stripes short set from HouseofChicLA hit the mark! I added red tassels earrings for a pop of color, black and white heels from Chinese Laundry, and a vintage Bria clutch from the 70/80s that I purchased from an online vintage store.
I hope that you liked my first set of summer fits. I'm back and I don't want to give up on my blog. I want to move forward with offering styling tips and tricks and the things that I use in my everyday life. I hope that you will continue to follow along with me for the ride.
Always remember, Simplicity makes a Statement.
