What was Old can always be New!
It has been a while for me. I decided to take some time off to focus on where I wanted my blog to go. I felt as though I was keeping up with the trends instead of being true to myself. My style blog became a race to the finish line instead of actually becoming something meaningful. So, I began to write out what style means to me and I found my inspiration.
For those who do not know me, I was primarily raised by my maternal great-grandmother and grandma. I also spent every summer and holiday with my paternal grandparents. My father traveled a lot due to coaching collegiate football and my mom was in the military. Before she went to the military, she competed in pageants and modeled for a bit. I was always in love with her beauty and style. I remember sitting on the edge of the bed while watching her get ready with a big smile on my face. That is the moment I knew I had a love for fashion.
My life inspires my style but what remains within me is a fascination of what was. I want everyone to know that you can recreate and evolve. My journey now includes my love for all things vintage. In the pictures below, I decided to go back to my Alma Mater. Rust College is where I fell in love with my beauty and became the woman (still learning and growing) I am today.
I hope that you were able to get some style inspiration and tips from these options. I am excited to embark on this new journey and cannot wait to show my readers what I have in store!
Always remember, Simplicity makes a Statement.
